Broadway and soap actor Burke Moses guest stars as Fran's latest love interest, your typical New York "mobster" who intimidates Fran because of his alleged organized crime connections. Meanwhile, Maggie is dealing with a blackmailing Brighton who has copied pages out of her diary and is making her serve him with threats of showing the pages to their father.
This episode has an interesting twist with Fran of course helping out Maggie get back at her brother with evidence of her own, and Moses ending up a solution for issues with the big Broadway musical Maxwell and C.C. are producing. while there are enough clues that indicate that Moses is in the mob (constant bodyguards, a shooting in a very Italian restaurant), his sudden bursting out in song put a doubt in that plot detail. Everybody is obviously having a good time in this spoof of "The Godfather", and Moses is a handsome and charming guest star.
