Tie It Up With a String
Hitchcoc13 September 2021
Laughlin continues his taunting until Andy talks to Shannon. He made certain observations. Another case is that of a man who tried to get kids out of the hood. The problem with male dominated culture, the guys started seeing this guy messing up their women. Finally, Clark Senior flips out in front of the uniforms.

Warning: Spoilers
Well, the Officer Laughlin revenge tour came unstuck pretty early in "Laughlin All the Way to the Clink". In the end, the uniform cop is turned in by his partner, Shannon, who I suppose had an attack of conscience and ended up giving IAB what they wanted. The charges against Clark are overturned and he is freed. The scenes in the squad when he returns were very nice. I just thought that - after a build-up of a few episodes - the conclusion to this saga happened a little too quickly and not with as many fireworks as I'd hoped for. Wish we'd seen Laughlin hauled out in front of his colleagues, and seeing him going in one direction in cuffs whilst Clark comes the other way would also have been -good. Alas, that didn't happen. At least Sipowicz got in a word at the end, and thus one of the least likeable characters in NYPD Blue history is done. Credit where credit is due - Anthony Mangano made him a thoroughly unlikeable character from the get-go.

John Clark Sr. Is not having a good run. He turns up to the stationhouse drunk to tell the officers downstairs that he was the IAB informant, not his son. Joe Spano is doing a very good job of portraying the older Clark, who is coming apart at the seams.
