- A woman and an intruder get into a vicious struggle, and in self defense the woman elbows him in the face (no blood), beats him with a lamp (once again, there's no blood) and finally when she's being strangled, she stabs the intruder with a pair of scissors, killing him (we see no blood, just the wound very briefly).
- A chase scene at the end of the episode shows Monk and the police chasing the bad guy (after he set fire to a child's science experiment in a school gymnasium and stole a girl's fish as a decoy); he trips, giving a chance for Monk to save Julie's fish and the Captain to take him into custody.
