Monk gets ketchup on his shirt while eating his food. In the next shot, his shirt is clean.
While sitting in the restaurant eating a burger and talking to a car salesman, Mr Monk has ketchup on his shirt's left pocket. The camera cuts away and on the next shot, his shirt is clean.
When Monk is threatening Lester Highsmith with his water pistol, the passenger-side door of Monk's Mustang is open. After the police arrive to arrest Lester and his partner, the door is seen closed, then open again in subsequent shots.
When DIsher is talking to the suspect after they have arrested him, he is looking down on him. When the camera angle changes, Disher is squatting down looking up at the suspect. While he is talking, he rises up to a position to look down on the suspect.
When Monk is checking out the apartment, he says "back off" with his index finger and pinky of his right hand raised. In the very next shot, however, only his index finger is raised.
When Monk rubs chalk powder on the placemat to see Marlene Highsmith's original suicide note, there is no other writing. Yet, in the summation, there is a shot of Lester writing his fake suicide note on the same placemat. So when Monk rubbed the chalk powder, Lester's version of the note would have appeared over Marlene's version of the note.
Psychiatric medications don't start working overnight. They need to be built up over a few weeks before they have any noticeable effects. Also, a (good) psychiatrist would have started Monk at a low dosage, which would gradually be increased over several months until the right balance was found, eliminating his fears and phobias but NOT compromising his detective skills.
Dr Kroeger prescribes Doxynil to Adrian Monk, but it isn't for humans, and it isn't a psychiatric medicine. It's given to pigs for treatment of respiratory tract diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to doxycycline.
Doxinyl is, in fact, prescribed for humans, for a number of different conditions for those that are resistant or allergic to doxycycline and is an alternative medicine for gonorrhea and syphilis. The writers probably meant Doxepin which is an anti-depression, anti-anxiety drug.

The water pistol Monk uses to bluff Lester Highsmith is jet black, possibly with a brown handle. Because of child-safety laws, all toy guns have to be brightly colored or have a bright orange cap on the tip of the barrel so children will be safe when holding one. However, this particular pistol is missing both of these features.
While Monk is at the burger joint trying to decide on his order, a pretty blond extra, right next to Mr. Monk, keeps talking, but making no sounds, obviously pantomiming.
