Leo Ostrow shares his plan to counterfeit South African currency however when the printing plates are shown it reads "DOLLARS." South Africa has never used the term "dollar" as a name for its currency. (They originally used British pounds and now the rand).
The "printing press" is actually an offset duplicator, a Multilith 1250 or similar. Banknotes are produced using the intaglio process, which produces notes that have a different feel to them because of the intaglio process, and would easily be detected as counterfeit.
The printing plates say:
Republique de Ghalea
Liberté
500 Hundred Dollars.
When Casey & Jim first meet Leo in his living room you can briefly see the studio lights at the top of the frame exposing that this is a set.
When the camera zooms in to view the "self destruct tape" a circular pattern of holes in the recorder under the take up reel can be seen where the smoke comes out of. The actual tape seems to be unaffected.
After Jim and Casey leave from meeting with Paul and Leo they discuss the mission as they are walking down an outdoor stairway. For them to break character out in the open where they could be overheard is not in accordance with normal operating procedures.
Part of the MI plan was to have Casey reveal herself to be a drug addict by showing needle marks on her arm. When she showed them as she walked down the staircase at Paul's mansion, it had to be seen by Paul's right-hand man. If he didn't recognize them right away, the scheme would have been for naught.
At the end of this episode, when the gangsters are going to the sub-basement, Barney says into the radio device, "Willie, now," but he is actually talking to Hank, another IMS agent.
