May be the high water mark of the series

In a risky production of three parts, the most complex and nuanced plot is woven into the series. There are multiple cliff hangers, and several close brushes with disaster.

The three-parter is as much a feature length motion picture as it is a television series. Viewed in quick succession, through video recordings, the episode provides an outstanding drama.

To pull off the high risk mission, the IM team must make an ad-hoc recruit of one of the intended rescue targets. Moreover, they must overcome a worthy adversary, who's own ingenuity is only outmatched in the end by the avarice of he would-be associates.

As the episode winds down to a conclusion, the viewer finds himself contemplating the actions, and coming to the conclusion that nothing presented is implausible, even if in sum, achieving success would be deemed high risk at best, perhaps nearly as risky as the producers decision to present an episode that would depend upon audience loyalty lasting three straight weeks to watch.

Few series would ever try such a thing, much less pull it off. In so doing, this is likely the pinnacle of the series.
