Not since "The Killer" in Season five do we have such a view of the IM force's scope. It's no wonder they can set things up so quickly, with so many Santa's Little Helpers behind the scenes.
Jim and company have to literally find out where the body is buried to nail an aging mobster (guest star William Shatner). To do that they try to turn back the clock and made a mobster in his sixties look and feel thirty again, and persuade him to believe the intervening thirty years were just a dream.
A tall order? Not for Phelps and his team. Having just entered my own sixties, i could usr some of that stuff, myself.
Unfortunately, Shatner spends a little too much time looking dazed. But who wouldn't be?
Oh, this is a last hoo-rah for Doug. I like Sam Elliott (he's an actor who's aged well) but Doug was never very interesting. Who wouldn't rather see a seasoned Elliott in "The Big Lebowski"? But the sad thing is, they finally have something for Doug to do that utilizes his skill as a doctor as he's on his way out the door.
