Quotes
-
Ralph McKnight : [Anthony has just finished issuing the million-dollar cashier's check, along with the explanation, to Ralph McKnight, as the two sit in McKnight's apartment] What do people usually say when you hand them a million dollars?
Michael Anthony : Oh, it varies. They sometimes stare at the check for quite a while, just as you're doing.
Ralph McKnight : I was counting the zeroes.
Michael Anthony : And then they say, 'Why me? Why give me a million dollars?' Even I can't answer that one. And then they say, 'What's the catch?'
Ralph McKnight : [Glancing at the document Anthony has placed before him] And this is the catch?
Michael Anthony : That paper simply states that you will tell no one, except your wife, where you got the money.
[Anthony reaches into his coat pocket for a pen]
Michael Anthony : If you do, it reverts to the donor.
Ralph McKnight : [Signing] On my pay at the dairy, I can't afford a wife.
[Anthony retrieves the agreement]
Ralph McKnight : But I know exactly what I'm going to do with this money.
[Getting serious]
Ralph McKnight : Mr. Anthony, I've got to tell this to someone. You see, it was... it was during the war...
[the remainder of this program consists of McKnight explaining his revenge plans to Anthony]
