The biplane flown to Waco has a tail number of N121R. This particular plane was involved in a fatal accident at an air show near Reno, Nevada on September 12, 1975. The plane was utilized for an inverted wing-walking act when a downdraft caused the wing-walker's head to hit the ground during an attempt to cut a ribbon.
The white Bell JetRanger seen briefly at the airport was one of Archangel's helicopters in Airwolf.
The title is based on the common expression: Birds of a feather flock together. This expression has been around since at least the 16th century as: "Birds of one kind and color flock and fly always together."
