TC refers to the fact that he celebrates Kwanzaa, and gives an explanation of the holiday. This was one of the earliest mainstream references to Kwanzaa to be made on a Network TV series.

T C always referred to Higgins as "Higgy Baby". One exception occurs in Season 4 episode 10 around the 38 minute mark, when TC is consoling Higgins for his failed rescue attempt. In this case TC calls Higgins, "Jonathan".
