- TriviaUnlike the remainder of the series, this episode was shot on film, but transferred to videotape for editing and presentation of the final episode, and later shortened and edited into two parts for syndicated airings. However, the network tape master was damaged over the years and when the show was prepared for DVD release, it was found that the original broadcast master was unusable, requiring that the syndicated version be used for the DVD release.
- GoofsDuring the "Adams Ribs" segment, Hawkeye throws his food against the tent wall behind Radar and Klinger. You don't see the food when the camera is far away, then it reappears on Radar and Klinger's close up and then it's gone again on the wider shot.

Corporal Walter Eugene O'Reilly: [asked what memories he'll have of Korea] One day. One very bad day.

- Alternate versionsWhile broadcast as a one-hour program, syndicated versions are edited into two parts. The syndicated version however, has been the only version of the episode available since the original network broadcast, both in syndication and on the Season 7 DVD set. On the DVD set, a disclaimer is added that says that the original master was damaged and unusable for the DVD set.

Wonderful retrospective
Reminds me of the newsreel interviews they used to do back in the day. I enjoyed it very much with the connecting narration. It helps weave the more and more three-dimensional characters and their personalities and values into the fabric that had become M*A*S*H. The dark humor that usually prevails in the episodes gives very little opportunity for the characters to reflect on their innermost feelings about the Korean Police Action, but the interviewer draws out so much more.
I highly recommend these episodes for anyone who has grown attached to the show and especially to its characters who have grown before our eyes.
