Part 2 of the Bancroft saga. When TV cameras aren't interested in their plight as a human interest story, Lucy decides violence is the way to attract media attention so she has the town stage a fake shootout.
This is not as endearing as Part One because the second half of the episode is taken up by the fake gunfight and it's a stupid idea. The musical numbers are charming though and we hear the "Main Street USA" song again. Lucy looks great in her Carrot-Top Carmichael outlaw costume.
I don't remember Carole Cooke appearing in this one when I used to see it on Nick at Nite, so perhaps her scene was cut in syndication. A huge bonus of the DVDs is to discover missing footage.
Future LAUGH-IN star Dan Rowan is back as the TV reporter just a few months after playing Lucy's date in "Lucy and Carol in Palm Springs".
