Warning: Spoilers
When Tina comes on board, they make a comment about Julie and her having a crush on someone... and its implied it was on Stubing. Moments later, Stubing mentions Julie and Tina were some of his best students. None of this makes sense and doesnt follow the first episode. Julie had never met Captain Stubing until he was assigned to "the love boat". Matter of fact, the only crew member that did know him was Gopher.

Warning: Spoilers
Thank you, Gopher. I would like to go parasailing. We do get some shots on the real ship, so that's nice. I don't like Julie's hair here in the third season. Mike has theories about love's stages. He's bothering Robin about them. 'We're heading for stage 2.' Werner Klemperer is valet to an old man (Barry Sullivan) in a wheelchair. The old man likes the woman. Her daughter and the valet are getting in the way. Julie's friend Tina (Joan Hackett) is here with her brat of a kid. He's played by famous brat Adam Rich. He's a terrible artist. Tina envies Julie's career. Julie envies her family. 'What happened to the old woman's lib?' Hey, Isaac. Don't mention Alaska. We know what happened in Alaska. Julie decides to play mom to Brian. I'm sure Brian won't object. Julie comes across as kind of petty. She's ready to quit because of Tina. It turns out that Tina has a secret. Gopher plays 'Alley Oop' at Sock Hop Night. I love that song. On Kafka's Love Boat Scale, this episode gets 2 1/2 * out of a possible 4 *.
