Colonel Gaines of Fort McRae has a dispatch naming the three white men who have been selling repeating rifles to the Indians on the reservation at Fort Apache. The colonel entrusts the dispatch to Lieutenant Quincey, who must take the stagecoach part way to Fort Apache. Unfortunately, Colonel Gaines foolishly leaves his window wide open while briefing Quincey and one of the bad guys overhears everything. John Boyer, the merchant who leads the bad guys, assigns his two henchmen, Gus and Hatton, to stop the coach and steal the dispatch. Also on the stage are Reverend Foster and his daughter Mary. When the coach is stopped, Quincey is wounded and rendered unconscious but not before secretly hiding the dispatch in the reverend's bible. The Ranger and Tonto interrupt the outlaws and chase them away. Who will find that crucial dispatch first? There is some excellent stunt work in this episode, featuring full gallop riding and jumping on and stopping a runaway stagecoach.
