Father doesn't know best
Paularoc2 August 2013
Paul Reeves returns home late one evening and is confronted by his father, Martin. Paul has blood on his shirt and jacket and also has a gun. Paul insists he's done nothing wrong but when the father reads in the newspaper the next morning that there has been a hold up and a guard has been shot, he is sure that Paul did it. Despite Paul's protestations of innocence, his father browbeats Paul into agreeing to a phony alibi. Martin later bribes an arcade manager into confirming the phony alibi. Herbert Maris is a corporation attorney working on a proposed merger of Martin's company. When Paul is arrested, Maris believes him to be innocent and investigates the alibi and later confronts Martin with what he has learned. These half hour shows usually don't have much character development but in this case we get a good picture of Martin - a controlling man under great stress who is really more concerned about his own reputation than he is about his son's innocence. Paul Carr as Paul and Robert Simon as Martin did a great job in their portrayals.
