- Relations between the Mexicans south of the border and the people in Tombstone near the border were often far from harmonious. Senora Huerta and her teenage son Miguel arrive with a cart and coffin asking Earp to turn over the body of Huan Huerta who was murdered in Tombstone. Huan was her husband. Earp does not recognize the name nor does he recall a murder involving such a person. They don't trust Earp but do decide to let him read a letter they received that was in English saying Huerta was murdered by a Mr. Granby. Horace Granby runs a mine but is known to be mild-mannered and not thought one to commit murder. Earp helps them ask around town with no results so he visits Granby who is as puzzled. Miguel stalks Earp to Granby and tries to attack him with a knife but Granby escapes. In Tombstone a puzzled Earp loans a busted Doc a $100 for poker for an IOU from Doc. The players are enjoying enchiladas made by their cook known as Cortez or by Doc as the Conquistador. When Doc repays Earp, Earp notices the writing on the IOU matches the letter. Doc comes clean as Miguel tries to attack Granby in town and Earp decides to treat the Huertas to some enchiladas.—Anonymous
