- TriviaAlthough Miss Landers' engagement is announced in this episode and she subsequently appears in nine additional episodes over the next 15 months, no mention is ever made of her eventual marriage (but she can be seen wearing an engagement ring in Beaver's Report Card (1961)). She is still referred to as "Miss Landers" in all those subsequent episodes, including Nobody Loves Me (1962), in which Beaver revisits her after not seeing her for some time.
- GoofsThroughout the episode, in the closeup shots the hair falling over Beaver's forehead does not match the hair in the wide-angle shots, obviously revealing that they were filmed at different times. For example, when Beaver asks Ward for the definition of "fiance" as he sits on the arm of the chair, the closeup shows his hair divided into strands falling down to his eyebrows. In the next wide-shot, his hair is neatly combed up with no divided strands hanging down.
- Quotes
June Cleaver: Ward, I wish Wally wouldn't use words like 'flakey' and 'kooky'.
Ward Cleaver: Well, Dear, you wouldn't want all of his friends to think he was creepy, would you?

After All, Miss Landers Was Just A "Girl"
(*June to Ward quote*) - "You did all that shouting for nothing."
I think that this episode of TV's "Leave It To Beaver" was pretty nonsensical stuff when it came to Beaver's unexpected reaction to the newspaper article announcing Miss Alice Landers' engagement to Tom Brittingham.
For a boy who hated "girls", Beaver's depression over Miss Landers' wedding plans was (IMO) pretty demented and I think that this seriously troubled boy really needed to take a reality check.
