The Cleavers are hosting Jackie Waters, Beaver's friend from the old neighborhood, for an overnight visit. Beaver is excited and has plans for them to do all the things they used to do together. Upon his arrival, Jackie is equally excited to do all the old activities. But as they partake in one activity after another, they find that each does not hold the interest they thought it would, and they quickly tire of each other's company. They start doing things independent of each other. Ward and June, with Wally's help, try to salvage the togetherness aspect of the weekend for the two boys.
