- Rainbow Jack returns to Laramie after prospecting hitting Johnny, Jake, and Lily for a grubstake to mine a rich strike of easy gold. None of them believe him based on his past history and their lack of belief in gold in the area. In the Birdcage Jack is attracted to the older, lonely saloon hostess Stephanie Collins. Jack's story reminds her of her childhood and prospector father's dreams. She invests her savings for returning to England of $160 in his dream. In return Jack signs over half interest in his Sagitarrius mine and files the deed. Later his nephew and attorney arrive looking for him to undo the half claim sale. Troop goes after Jack who returns to Laramie to confront them plus surprise Stephanie by telling her the Sagitarrius makes $8000 a day and she is wealthy.
