Episode 1
The spin off from 'The Day Today' and former sports reporter Alan Partridge gets his own Abbaesque chat show.
The inspiration for Partridge might had come from Alan Titchmarsh but the show is a pastiche of Wogan where in his chat show sometimes things would go wrong such as nervous guests or ideas probably inspired by the producer that sometimes would never come off.
In the first show, Patridge appears in a slightly ill fitting and garish suit which screams middle of the road. The stage set turns out to be inappropriate.
As he waits for star guest Roger Moore to arrive, his first guest a champion horsewoman is too nervous and boring, he ends up humiliating his second guest Keith Hunt who in turn revels in Partridge's embarrassment with his musical guests who turn out to be a bit too Goth punk for him.
