Burton Armus' first Knight Rider script is one of the rare examples of a first draft being almost entirely identical to the finished show.
Two of the names and companies on KITT's list of designers/design firms refer to real people: "Lew Wasserman/MCA International" refers to the real-life former chairman and CEO of media conglomerate MCA, and "G. Larson/Blowhard, Inc" appears to be a joke on Knight Rider producer Glen Larson.
Flood is described as "cold" with "disinterested eyes;" he looks down at the wreck of Sam Dennis' sports car with "a bored, efficient look." Armus writes Grebbs as: "Forties, hard looking, you would not buy a used car from him."
When KITT lists the names and companies of designers in the area, one of the names is I. P. Daly of Yellow River Publications.
