  Metamorpho : [taking his physical form]  I wouldn't want to do that again.

• Batman : Hawkgirl confirms finding another monster.

  Metamorpho : See? I'm telling the truth. Let me help.

  Green Lantern : [deactivating the protective bubble]  So, what do you know about this monster?

  Metamorpho : Stagg was working with a mutagen when I smashed the controls. The chemicals came to life. I think it's the same compound he used on me.

  Green Lantern : [Batman collects a sample]  Okay, we'll take it from here.

  Metamorpho : Wait. You can't beat it by yourself. Let me go with you.

  Green Lantern : I don't know.

  Batman : He's right. We're gonna need all the help we can get. You two go. I'll stay here and test this residue. Maybe I can find a weakness.

  Green Lantern : [to Metamorpho]  All right, but I'm keeping my eye on you.

• Metamorpho : [pursuing the synthoid up a skyscraper, a la "King Kong"]  What I wouldn't give for a couple of biplanes right about now.

• Batman : [finding the catatonic Stagg]  Looks like we're too late.

  Green Lantern : [spotting Metamorpho under rubble]  Maybe not.

  [he uses his power ring to lift the rubble off] 

  Metamorpho : John, thank heavens you're here.

  [Lantern projects a protective bubble around him] 

  Metamorpho : Let me go.

  Green Lantern : Haven't you done enough damage?

  Metamorpho : It wasn't me. Stagg made some kind of synthetic monster. You've got to believe me.

  Green Lantern : After you tried to deep-fry me? I don't think so.

  Metamorpho : Look, I'm sorry I went off like that. I was wrong, but we can hash that out later. Right now, there's another monster loose out there.

• Simon Stagg : Well, is Metamorpho everything I promised?

  Mr. Braddock : Everything and more, Simon. We want him.

  Simon Stagg : I thought you would. Let's set up a meeting for next week, and bring your checkbook.

  [hanging up] 

  Simon Stagg : A toast, Java, to unbridled capitalism.

  Java : I don't get it, boss. How are you gonna get Mason to work for him?

  Simon Stagg : Mason? He was just a prototype. Now that I've perfected the process, I don't need him anymore.

  Mr. Braddock : [emerging from his fountain]  So, I'm just a guinea pig, huh?

  Java : Keep away from...

  Metamorpho : [easily knocking Java away]  Why me, Simon? Was it because I asked too many questions about your pet project or because I took your daughter?

  Simon Stagg : You leave her out of this. I'll never let you touch her. Never!

• Java : Hey, is that the stuff?

  Simon Stagg : Luckily, I was able to get another shipment of the mutagen; no thanks to you. Now we can shift into full-scale production.

  Metamorpho : [crashing through the door]  Not if I can help it.

  Simon Stagg : Stop him!

  Metamorpho : [Java grabs the freezing gun]  Not this time, Flintstone.

• Batman : Lantern, I've got something. The creature's composed of artificial protein. We can destroy it with a complex polypeptide.

  Green Lantern : Like a designer amino acid? How soon can you whip up a batch?

  Batman : That's the problem. It'll take days to synthesize.

  Green Lantern : We don't have that long.

  Metamorpho : Wait. Tell me what's in the stuff. I'll do the rest.

  Green Lantern : Change into the polypeptide? Not a chance. If you come into contact with that thing, the chemical reaction will destroy you both.

  Metamorpho : Yeah, you're probably right. But I don't have time to argue.

  [emitting a gaseous residue that knocks John out] 

  Metamorpho : Sorry, pal, but Sapphire needs me.

• Thug : So I told my broker, "Industrial waste management, that's a growth business." Am I wrong here?

  Thug : Like they say, garbage in, garbage out.

  Thug : That's exactly what I'm talking about.

  Thug : [hearing a bang]  What was that?

  Metamorpho : [cutting through the truck wall]  Mind if I take the wheel?

  [he literally yanks the steering wheel out and throws it through the windshield] 

  Thug : [after crashing the van]  What is that thing?

  Thug : [firing their machine guns]  It's toast!

  Thug : [stopping]  Think we got him?

• Batman : [into his communicator after Metamorpho tricked him into touching him and doused him with sleeping-gas so he could fight the monster]  Lantern. Are you still there?
