Evelyn Foster stops to give a lift to a man who's missed his bus, Evelyn is tragically found badly burned, her car on fire, and she'd been sexually assaulted.
This is such a tragic story, one of a most heinous nature. Poor Evelyn, she stopped, she did the good citizen act in stopping to pick someone up to help, it's just a shame she didn't take somebody with her on that journey.
Some of the information we're given may be a little sketchy, not much info was given about the car that followed. I don't fully understand why the witnesses were ignored.
It exposed the gaps that existed in The Police at the time, definitely a degree of incompetence there. A shame nobody from CID attended, maybe the outcome would have been different.
I thought both Gina McKee and George Irving were excellent here, the latter has always made the most wonderful of villains.
Some pretty effective use of makeup here. Well produced as you'd expect.
8/10.
