During Lucy and Ricky's argument at the dinner table, when Lucy makes fun of Ricky's English and makes Ricky rant in Spanish, what he says in Spanish is about how he studied English for many years at universities, and that he speaks English better than everyone else sitting at the dinner table.
The beginning of this episode was inspired by a real experience of Lucy and Desi. They helped an arguing couple make up at a dinner party and then started jokingly discussing their own past fights, but ultimately they ended up in a new fight because of it.

This episode became a major plot point in Aaron Sorkin's Being The Ricardos (2021). In the film they claim it is Season 2, Episode 4, when in reality this was Season 1, Episode 22. The film revealed Lucille Ball's creative influence on the show as the denouement in the film has Fred, Ethel and Lucy sans Ricky re-hearsing a scene in the episode at 2:00 am the morning of the taping. The film depicts that many of Ball's suggested changes were ultimately not used.
While chastising Lucy, Ricky uses her full name, Lucy Esmeralda McGillicuddy Ricardo.
