Two men in tailored suits and strapping fedoras tie up and gag a middle-aged motorcycle patrolman in a full CHP uniform with necktie. What's not to find appealing about this episode.
Broderick Crawford is his usual stuffy self. But the clever hostage law enforcement officer ("LEO" in the vernacular of the kids today.) finds a way to communicate with the under-appreciated radio lady despite his intense state of bondage. Officer Hoffman should be in the Highway Patrol's Hall of Fame for his composure and diligence when it comes to serving the public in the Great State of mid-century California.
One of my favorite "alone time" episodes.
