"Huron Tomahawk" opens with Hawkeye and Chingachgook trailing a stolen wagon of rifles and powder overdue at Fort McKenzie, meeting old friend Mike (Brian Smyth, first of four) in the forest. The three encounter the wounded Jake (Ed Holmes, last of two), who tells of being attacked by Iroquois, before Mike learns that his fiancée and her father have been brutally murdered, leaving behind an Iroquois tomahawk as evidence. Col. Creery (Peter Humphreys, second of five) is ready to lead a party against Iroquois Chief Otomi (Alex Denaszody, second of three), but Hawkeye is convinced that white devils are responsible for the evil. Phony evangelist Samuel Finnegan (Larry O'Connor, last of two) is in cahoots with the real culprit, who hopes to see Hawkeye killed by Otomi once he learns that an Iroquois brave has been murdered by a white man. One can only speculate on why the title falsely identifies Huron rather than Iroquois! Rodney Bunker (second of five) cameos as an unnamed lieutenant, which he played on two other occasions.
