Enjoyable but a bit weak....

Warning: Spoilers
This is a very watchable episode of "Hawaii Five-O", though it's also a bit weak. There are some logical problems with the show as well as rather undeveloped villains. Still, even a second-rate episode of this series is still worth watching.

The show starts off weakly. A world-renowned expert on crop pests just happens to pick, of all fields, one that was deliberately infected with a rare sugar cane pest. Considering that there were acres and acres and acres of sugar cane on the island at that point of time, some guy just stumbling upon the only infested spot was a stretch. When he discovers this, he's killed as someone doesn't want anyone to yet discover the bugs. Eventually, it turns out that ecological disaster was NOT started by terrorists but a guy hoping to buy up a sugar plantation cheaply. Again, this is a bit of a stretch. And, it's up to McGarrett to not only solve the murder but avert an agricultural disaster.

Nothing terrible about the show (apart from the ridiculous beginning) but nothing all that interesting. Richard Kiley stars but you really don't see all that much of him.
