Dyn-O-Mite Greeting Card Company
kevinolzak21 December 2016
"JJ in Business" finds JJ and his friends opening the brand new Dyn-O-Mite Greeting Card Company, his family pitching in to come up with verses. Even 'Buffalo Butt' Bookman comes up with one: "it's from me to you and it's fact not fiction, my very best wishes for a happy eviction!" JJ's new accountant is vivacious Karen Casey (Marilyn Joi), and advertising agency representative Robert Lawrence (Dean Norton) is willing to offer assistance for minority businesses such as this one. Unfortunately, JJ gets fired from his rib delivery job, needing at least $2000 to purchase all the paper and ink necessary to fill every order. The Small Business Administration clerk is Irma Austin (Alice Ghostley), quite willing to approve the necessary loan, but lacking the funds for 90 days: "I learned that if you're black and you can't get any green, you wind up in the red!" As talented as JJ is, Lawrence is able to offer him a new career with his firm as junior art director.
