I wonder how many times it took to shoot these singing scenes without the cast cracking up? I'm not sure I've ever heard anyone ever sing this badly. Hilarious!

Miss Poovie The Singer

Miss Poovie, beautiful blonde with a thick southern accent, eyes as wide as dinner plates, and a singing voice straight out of a nightmare, has a dream to be a singer. And she is a singer, sort of. She sings in a nightclub, but the nightclub is losing business and the manager warns her that if she doesn't do better she's going to be fired.
That's where Gomer, Sgt. Carter, and Slater come to the rescue. Well, sort of, but not really. It's basically chaos. Gomer genuinely wants to help her, but the other two just want to have sex with her. And things get messy.
It's a funny episode, but it also has some very touching moments. It's really all about the difference between dreams and reality. I gave it a "9".
