Military Police Pyle Style

Gomer Pyle as an M. P.? Yep. And he's ready for action. He's tough. He's mean. And he'll lock you up if you even just look at him wrong. At least that's the way Sgt. Carter wants him to be. But Gomer has other ideas. He wants to use the sweet Aunty approach. "Hello, deary....let me help you deary...." Let's see how that goes.

In town, where Gomer is patrolling, a Navy sailor and a Marine get into a big fight. Fists are flying everywhere! It's like a Bruce Lee movie but without Bruce Lee. Just two white guys. Boom! Bash! Crash! So what does Gomer do? He has them shake hands and promise to be nice. And of course they start fighting all over again. Good work, Gomer.

Then another Marine is missing a button. Gomer has buttons, thread, and a needle right on his person so he sews a button on the Marine's uniform. A Marine lieutenant sees that happen and rips into Sgt. Carter. Then Carter rips into Gomer.

You see, Gomer always thinks that following down home country wisdom is more important than following Marine orders. Gomer is basically the Jesus Christ of down home country wisdom. And it always gets him in trouble. Come to think of it Jesus Christ got into some pretty big trouble, too. I guess it just doesn't pay to be nice.

Okay, I won't spoil the rest. This is a very fun episode with lots of laughs.
