- During the lacklustre performance of Oscar Wilde's play The Importance Of Being Earnest in this episode, Lady Carlton comments that it is 'not as good as the film.' The character of Lady Carlton is played by Joan Greenwood who, of course, had starred as Gwendolen Fairfax in that very film over 30 years before.
