On the Second Day of Christmas

It was a miserable Christmas for the Ropers. They had no guests apart from her snooty sister who turns up on the second day.

Even the Christmas tree is bare as George bought it cheap in October.

Tristram gets the 1978 version of a PS5 for Christmas. Computer Tennis which would literally give you minutes of fun.

When George beats Tristram and wins a 5 pence bet. Jeffrey is determined to get the money back with interest.

Jeffrey thrashes George who keeps insisting on Double or Quits.

At the ends George owes tens of thousands of pounds with Jeffrey being persuaded by Ann to let him win his money back. If George was so useless at the game, how did he ever beat Tristram?

Gretchen Franklin makes another appearance as Mildred's mother and she had more fun with a party that is still carrying on.

An average episode, Mildred's mother was fun. There was a reference to Bruce Forsyth's Big Night which was launched with great fanfare by ITV and it flopped.
