The Mouth Can't Stop
Hitchcoc30 September 2019
Frasier is so abysmally pompous that he ruins everything for himself. Daphne is taken by a best selling pop psychologist who writes vapid stuff. Frasier is sent to get her autograph. She is really voluptuous, it seems, and he sells out his real opinion trying to develop a relationship. Now, if he could only keep that mouth shut and go with the flow...not overstepping boundaries. Decent episode.

Some of the best writing in the entire run
phillipsbg20 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The whole episode is great but the scene between Frasier and Niles after Daphne returns having bought her new coat ("spending like a drunken yuppie") is just a 5-minute pummel of brilliant lines:

"It's the world's oldest profession. Granted this is sort of the Walt Disney version..."

"It's noble. It's altruistic. It's fun, and you can't make me stop."

"Your woman is ENGLISH!"

"It's just going to take a little while to climb down off this particular high horse."

"That's the manager's special at Farmer Jack's Chicken Chicken Chicken"

Also, later: "your bag boy has arrived"

Frasier is a profound sap at heart but he, unusually, comes good in this episode by being honest (too honest, in the end) with Honey. He often clumsily offends women (undeservedly), such as when he schedules three dates on three consecutive nights, but in this instance he tells a hack she is a hack - he will get over it, and he can hold his head high.

Niles to the rescue
twanster-115 February 2020
I often skip the episodes regarding frasiers love life. He went from being a hopeless romantic to just being a pig basically. Often sleeping with woman then finding faults and dumping them. He lost his charm in this way. Thru out the shows run he had countless beautiful women throw themselves at him, they made it impossible to feel sorry for him as everyone else's characters progressed frasier was still spitting out one gorgeous woman after another.. In this episode frasier once again has a chance to be with a stunning woman, he disregards his ethics to get dates with her and when she asks for a favour in return his ethics return and he can't.. Niles really saves the day in this episode. He's so funny, he could have had his own show. I hope it they do make another frasier, they've finally settled him down. He started this show single and ended it single.. In a new series it would be embarrassing if they had him repeat his womaniser ways..

Joe Keenan pens typically a good episode
studioAT13 July 2017
Just seeing the name 'Joe Keenan' pop up as the writer of an episode of 'Frasier' (or indeed anything) makes you relax a little as you know it's going to be an episode of quality. Which seeing as 'Frasier' series 2 was a bit inconsistent is a welcome relief.

This is a fun episode, one of the many where Frasier's ethics get in the way of him potentially being happy.

The B story involving Niles and Daphne is fun too, and allows David Hyde Pierce to shine.

It tails off a bit at the end, but on the whole this is a good episode.

Niles carries it..

Thank god for niles, Martin and daphne.. Without the supporting cast this show would just be about a middle aged man running round like a randy dog from woman to woman. At first it seemed he was a hopeless romantic but soon you realise that frasier ends up with more woman than roz an yet a running joke is that roz sleeps around.. I tend to avoid the episodes that involve frasier and relationships because it almost ruins the show.. Anyway thankfully frasier had fantastic supporting cast.

Was every other attractive wannabe actress in LA busy that week?

One of my least favorite episodes due to horrible casting. They were clearly scraping the bottom of the barrel when casting Honey Snow. Trying to watch it now and it is just abysmal and unbelievable that such a terrific show had to cast some musicians bimbo concubine to play Frasier's love interest.
