Pascale: [arguing about Doortje staying over at their place] Oscar, I know what you're going to say. I always know what you're going to say.
Oscar: Then why should I say it, if you know what I'm going to say?
Pascale: Because I always hope that you're not going to say what I think you're going to say.
Oscar: If you hope I won't say the things I have to say, why do you always do stuff which makes me say the things I have to say, though I'd rather not say them?
Pascale: Oscar, are you going to say what you have to say or what?
Oscar: Doortje can't stay here.
Pascale: I knew you'd say that.
Oscar: What if all players' wives invaded the house, like her?
Pascale: Then she would at least have something to say.
Oscar: Oh, so you have the higher ground again... Who's got something to say here, actually?
Pascale: Oscar, whenever you've got something to say, just come out and say it.
[walks back to the living room, where Doortje is]
