John Anderson gives a memorable performance as the leader of this religious group. Mix in the town's hate toward this religious group with a potential for an uncontrollable fire brewing and Lew & Jim have their work cut out for them.

The ending seemed predictable and preachy.

Warning: Spoilers
I generally enjoy watched episodes of the old TV series "The FBI", but today I was a bit disappointed when I saw "The Forests of the Night". It seemed rather predictable and the ending was also a bit preachy.
The story is about extortion letters which were sent to an Amish-like religious community, the Jobites. Like the Amish, they shun modern things and pretty much stick to themselves...and the non-Jobites in town resent them since they are so standoffish. It's assumed the extortion letters are coming from these angry non-Jobites...especially since there has been some violence....riots in which the Jobites have been harassed in town. What's really going on here?
The story seemed very predictable and seeing the leader of the anti-Jobites and the leader working together as friends at the end was silly. First, the change was too fast. Second, it was oh so predictable. A rather weak episode due to a script you can predict at every turn.
