Susan tells Mark she has been dating Dr. Div Cvetic for about a month, and this episode takes place in late August, marked by a patient celebrating the one-year anniversary of Mark saving his life on August 25. Yet Susan was already dating Div back in May, which we see in the second episode "Day One." The pilot episode had taken place on March 17, a date Doug Ross remarks on, and episode 2 was eight weeks later, significant due to Carol's recovery.
Dr. Carter pulls the sheet from the DOA's face so he can try to identify him from a local high school yearbook. He pulls the sheet down to just below the chin. There is a commercial break, and upon return, the sheet is several inches lower, showing the cuts that the victim sustained in the car accident.
(#1.03), after Carter has delivered the baby in the station wagon and placed her on the mother's chest, Haleh puts a blue blanket on him which is visible in the shot from behind the mother's head, but in the next shot facing the mom, the baby is not covered by the blanket.
When the station wagon with the pregnant woman arrives, the tire marks from a prior take are visible on the pavement.
A junior medical student would never be assigned the task of identifying an unknown deceased patient. The hospital administrator's office would be notified of the death and they would have handled it.
