"Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" The Library (TV Episode 1994) Poster

Jane Seymour: Dr. Quinn - Medicine Woman

Quotes

  • Rev. Timothy Johnson : [after Michaela declined the invitation of the Reverend to attend the sermon this Sunday for obvious reasons and further salvaging the burned and water damaged books on the lawn in front of the church with her children and Sully]  ... and be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you...

[Michaela, with her children and Sully, enters the church with one of the books in hand. The Reverend stops and looks at Dr. Mike]

Rev. Timothy Johnson : Have you decided to join us Dr. Mike?

Dr. Quinn - Medicine Woman : Yes, I have.

Rev. Timothy Johnson : I am glad to hear that.

Dr. Quinn - Medicine Woman : [Michaela walks to the Reverend]  And I have brought you something.

Rev. Timothy Johnson : I think we have had enough to do with those books for a while.

Dr. Quinn - Medicine Woman : You are absolutely right Reverend; but I brought this because I think we can all agree on what to do with it.

Rev. Timothy Johnson : I am glad to see you have had a change of heart.

Dr. Quinn - Medicine Woman : How can I not? With a book that tells of a father who sacrificed his own daughter. A book that tells of a man who is married to more than one woman at the same time. Why this book even has a passage in it describing how God accepted a bet from the devil.

Rev. Timothy Johnson : You are right Dr. Mike, that is a book that we can all agree on; and handing it over to me is the kind of gesture that will help heal the spirit of our town. I thank you for showing so much faith

[while reaching out his hand to receive the book from Dr. Mike]

Dr. Quinn - Medicine Woman : [Dr. Mike gives the Reverend the book]  Not at all Reverend.

[the Reverend falls silent while reading the title of the book]

Loren Bray : What is it?

Dr. Quinn - Medicine Woman : [Michaela turns around, looks at and addresses the town's attendants of the sermon]  The Holy Bible.

[Michaela once glances back at the Reverend and then walks out of the church leaving all astounded. The children and Sully follow her out]
