Dorothy is unable to get a loan for buying the building to expand the gazette, even though she has the printing press and the gazette itself as collateral. Previously, Ingrid was able to get a loan to expand the old homestead even though she was an immigrant with nothing to offer as collateral.
The telegraph office bldg is now sold and soon to be Dorothy's newspaper office, but it is not said where the telegraph office moved to or where Horace and Myra live.
