- A vital mission is jeopardized by Saunders' own short-tempered squad members, who suffer from raw nerves caused by lack of sleep. Surprisingly, the worst case of this ISN'T Kirby...It's Caje and Littlejohn!
- After three days without sleeping, Saunders and his squad are tired and stressed, with friction between Littlejohn and Caje. They return to the outpost to rest, but Lt. Hanley assigns another mission to the group. The conflict between Littlejohn and Caje increases and Saunders loses his confidence in them. But soon they stumble upon a German machine gun nest and Saunders is wounded and trapped. What will happen next?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- The squad have been under constant pressure for some time now with little sleep and tempers are starting to fray. After taking shelter during a storm, Caje and Littlejohn come to blows. Saunders reports to Lt. Hanley looking for a break and is told that they need to go out on patrol again to obtain a prisoner. Out in pouring rain and close to breaking point, the squad locates the German lines and moves in on a sentry. Just as he is about to pounce, Caje trips and is seen by the German. Caje has to shoot him and Littlejohn cracks, demanding a transfer after they return. After eluding the German patrol that pursued them, the squad move forward again to look for another prisoner but are trapped in a fire-fight with the enemy. After Sgt. Saunders takes out the bulk of the Germans with a grenade, Littlejohn kills the remaining one as he is about to shoot the Sarge. This leads to further conflict between Caje and Littlejohn and Saunders tells them they are both going to be transferred when they return. Saunders and McCall move forward again leaving Caje and Littlejohn behind with Doc, but they do not realise they are walking into a trap. Pinned down with a leg wound, Sarge sends McCall back for Caje and Littlejohn but he is hit also. As the Germans move in on Saunders, Caje and Littlejohn manage to forget their differences and move in to outflank the Germans. Between them they mop up the Germans and in the process save each others lives realising as they do so that they just need to get on with life. Fighting their way forward as a team they take out the last of the Germans and retrieve the Sarge and in the process manage to capture a prisoner. Back at the base hospital the Sarge tells them that no one will take them so it looks like he is stuck with them. Differences forgotten they both decide to off with the Doc for a beer.
