- After being shot, Bronco comes to the aid of a group of nuns who have a cattle ranch and are about to touch off a range war with neighboring cattlemen who don't want them to sell their cattle in order to drive up the price.
- While riding to a job, Bronco is shot in the back twice by the two Morgan boys because they think he is headed to a nearby convent. The convent ranch hand Jake finds Bronco so he takes him to the convent where the nuns tend to his wounds. He makes a rapid recover under their care. Unknown to him, they hope to convince him to stay to work for them on their cattle ranch. Because of a dispute with their neighboring cattle ranches, they have been unable to hire hands to take their cattle to market. The local ranchers lead by Morgan and Avery are holding back their cattle from the market hoping to drive the price up due to a shortage. Morgan goes to Bronco at the convent to apologize for his boy's actions as he truly wants no bloodshed. However, his immature boys and his spy on the convent Regan are anxious for a fight. Upon hearing the details of the disagreement, Bronco agrees to stay on as foreman firing Regan. However, the nuns lead by Sister Theresa wants no bloodshed so Bronco must become creative.—Anonymous
