The only time that Malachi Throne and Edward Binns worked together, despite the two of them later respectively portraying Noah Bain and Wally Powers, two of the most prominent handlers of professional thief Alexander Mundy (Robert Wagner) in the spy series It Takes a Thief (1968). Neither Throne nor Binns would ever work (either on or off the series) with a third actor who had such a role on the series, John Russell, nor with the actor who would portray the lead character's father and fellow master thief, Alistair Mundy (Fred Astaire).
