This marked the first appearance of the Bat-cycle in any form. The cycle used was a 1965 Harley Davidson with an attached side-car. Viewers would not see the new version until the movie was released between the first and second season. That new cycle was a custom Yamaha Catalina 250 with a special side-car setup that had a powered go-cart that could detach from the main vehicle and run on its own power. This new Bat-cycle was leased from the company that made it, Kustomotive, for $50.00 per week, with a $250.00 deposit.
This is the only episode in the series in which Batman is seen driving the Batcycle with Robin in the side car.
Penguin quotes a line from Lewis Carroll's poem "Jabberwocky."
Batman has a glass of what looks like milk while in the bat cave.
When Aunt Harriet and Alfred are watching TV about Batman and Robin's death there is the Maltese Falcon (back view) on top of the TV console.
