A previous trivia entry referred to the mysterious bandage which covered Burt Ward's right forearm in the episode "Green Ice". In "Marsha, Queen of Diamonds", which aired two weeks later, there is further evidence of the injury; this time, Ward's forearm is wrapped in a beige elastic ("Ace") bandage. This bandage can be seen during the sword fight between Batman and a love-darted Robin. As the battle begins, Ward has one end of his cape draped over his arm to disguise the bandage; as he swings the sword above his head, the cape slips, revealing the bandage for an instant before West grabs Ward's wrist and the cape in a single motion, hiding the bandage again.
Zsa Zsa Gabor was considered for the part of Marsha. Gabor would later appear as the villainess Minerva in the show's final episode.
Popular character actress Estelle Winwood, who played Marsha's witchy aunt, also appeared as Aunt Enchantra in the TV series "Bewitched."
Marsha is a spin on Mortisha, the character from The Addams Family that actress Caroline Jones is best known for portraying, and was such at the time too. Even tho Marsha and Morticia where two very different characters, she was still given a very Addams Family-esk side-kick and witch in Aunt Hilda. Though never appearing together in this series, Jones' Addams Family co-star, John Astin, replaced Frank Gorshin as the Riddler for the entirety of Season Two.
Aunt Hilda's magical companion might well have helped inspired a modern day TV character, Toonie the Tuna, co-host of "Toon in with Me!"
