Two timing Bat Fink
kevinolzak8 May 2016
"Marsha's Scheme of Diamonds" will succeed once she and Batman are married, allowing her to freely enter the Batcave to claim the precious Bat Diamond. Unfortunately for her, Alfred walks down the aisle with the real Mrs. Batman, actually Aunt Harriet Cooper (Madge Blake), an understandably mystified Batman admitting that his current spouse obviously 'slipped my mind!' Marsha gets to vent her frustration at the Caped Crusader ("you two timing Bat fink!") before Alfred reveals that Mrs. Batman plans to sue Marsha for a cool million for 'the alienation of the husband's affections!' Once Robin and the others are freed from Marsha's influence, the latest potion devised by her Aunt Hilda (Estelle Winwood) is designed to transform the Dynamic Duo into toads, Marsha and her Grand Mogul (Woody Strode) marching into Commissioner Gordon's office for one last ultimatum, with a pair of amphibians suitably costumed! Carolyn Jones and Estelle Winwood would make one return appearance in a three part episode teamed with Burgess Meredith's Penguin.

OUTSTANDING EPISODE

Marsha wants to personally seize the Batdiamond found in the Batcave, which is used to power her nuclear reactor. To do this, he bewitches Commissioner Gordon and Chief O'Hara with his cupid's darts and makes them prisoners in his lair, when the dynamic duo go to his rescue, Robin suffers the same fate as both and also falls under the power of the villain, In this way, Marsha pressures Batman to marry her so she can enter the Batcave. Alfred comes up with a plan and passes off Aunt Harriet as Batman's wife and then the ceremony is called off. Marsha does not give up and together with her Aunt Hilda they lure the dynamic duo into a trap so that the witch turns the paladins into a pair of toads through a magic potion. Marsha is not a villain who stands out on her own but the script is solid and the addition of her Aunt Ilda as a nice witch collaborate to make the story extremely entertaining, everything is perfect, the settings are also very good both the harem of Marsha as her Tia's cave. The dialogues are smart and funny. A featured episode.
