George Sanders briefly appears in the end of this episode uncredited as Mister Freeze, who is announced by name by the narrator. Although likely taken from the dailies of the next episode, it not only constitutes first ever appearance by Sanders as the character, but also first appearance of name "Mister Freeze", since in prior comic book appearance character was named Mr. Zero and was only renamed Mr. Freeze (and reintroduced into the comic continuity) after his successful appearance on the show. Interestingly enough, Nathan Darrow's first appearance as Mr. Freeze on Gotham (2014) mirrors that being a cameo at the end of Rise of the Villains: Worse Than a Crime (2015) and bearing no relevance to the plot of his next appearance whatsoever.
Popular Los Angeles newscaster Jerry Dunphy played Gotham City's news anchor in this episode.
"What's My Crime" was a fictional TV show shown in the original 1961 Disney animated film "101 Dalmatians." It also appeared in the 1956 novel on which the film was based. But here, it's likely a spoof on the TV show "What's My Line?"
The Joker's hair color during the "television take over " appears to be brown and not green for unknown reasons.
First appearance of the bat cuffs.
