Following in from the previous episode Sinclair returns from the planet with the alien who was connected to its defence system. Meanwhile an Earth Force heavy cruiser arrives; its captain stating that they are taking control of the area... Earth has heard about the technology on the planet and aims to get it before other races. While the alien lies in med-lab Draal, Delenn's mentor, hears him call out asking for help... it appears somebody must take his place in the machine or the planet will destroy itself, taking Babylon 5 with it. If that weren't enough more aliens, of the same species, arrive and claim the planet... inevitably a standoff ensues.
This episode provided a good conclusion to the story. It started well with the surprise revelation that the large ship arriving at the end of the previous episode was in fact from Earth... it was nice that it wasn't one of the alien species being seen to try to get to the technology first. The standoff between the various parties was well handled, especially when it looks as though their might be conflict between Babylon 5 and the cruiser. The resolution to the problems on the planet were wrapped up in an interesting, if not too surprising, manner. While the troubles back on Mars played a smaller role in this episode they weren't entirely forgotten; and they did give us a fun confrontation between Garibaldi and a group of loud-mouths in the bar. Overall another solid episode which fans of the series should enjoy.
