Sex & Nudity

  • Emma is briefly shown in a bra, however this is entirely non-sexual as she is simply changing.

Violence & Gore

  • Several violent threats, though on-screen violence is extremely limited.
  • At one point, Emma threatens to break a man's arm for harassing her.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Emma briefly drinks a glass of wine, and a used cigar is seen.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • "The Joker" is easily one of the most frightening episodes of the show. Numerous events occur that are meant to frighten Emma, including a knife being thrown into a wall near her head, a cut-up picture of her face being left for her to find, and disembodied voices whispering her name.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • The stranger cheerfully informs Emma that he has "chopped Ola up and scattered her in the garden." We quickly find out that this was a lie.
  • Several characters are knocked unconscious during a fight near the end of the episode.
  • The "stranger" is shot off-screen and Emma later finds his body in a rocking chair. No blood is shown.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The stranger who harasses Emma can be decently disturbing, as he frequently makes thinly-veiled threats against her life and, at one point, tells her that he has chopped Ola up and scattered her in the garden outside. This is thankfully a lie.
