Sharon : What's the matter? Who were you talking to?
Janice Robinson : Look!
Sharon : Look at what?
Janice Robinson : It was the chameleon from the store. It bit me again.
Sharon : Chameleon? How did it get here?
Janice Robinson : I don't know. Bite you once, bite you twice, a little water, pay the price.
Sharon : What are you talking about?
Janice Robinson : That's what the kid said and that's what the chameleon said.
Sharon : The chameleon talked?
Janice Robinson : It turned into me. It looked just like me. It was me. Sharon, I think the chameleon wants to be me.
Sharon : Jan, nothing's here. I think you were just dreaming.
Janice Robinson : I wasn't. It was real. It bit me twice and now it's coming after me with water.
Sharon : Tell you what. How about if I sleep in here tonight.
Janice Robinson : I don't know what's going on, Sharon. I'm sorry, I...
Sharon : Shhh! It's okay. In the morning this will all be a bad dream. Okay?
-
Mrs. Robinson : Are you all set?
Janice Robinson : I bought the dye.
Mrs. Robinson : How many times do we have to go through this? I'm not letting you put blue streaks in your hair.
Janice Robinson : Why not? You dyed your hair. Why can't I dye mine?
Mrs. Robinson : Because it's not the same thing and you know it.
Janice Robinson : Mom, will you please stop treating me like a little girl?
Mrs. Robinson : I will as soon as you stop acting like one.
-
Evil Chameleon : [as she discovers Sharon about to dump the chameleons down the well and chases her away] Stop! I won't let you hurt my family!
Sharon : You're gonna get caught!
Evil Chameleon : You think so? I think people are so dumb they won't find out until it's too late, Don't fight it, Sharon. Just put your hand in there and get it over with.
[One of the chameleons bites her]
Evil Chameleon : Ouch!
Sharon : Bites you once, bites you twice. You should have counted your family and a guest.
Janice Robinson : [When she turns back to herself] Quick grab the hose!
Sharon : Now add water!
Evil Chameleon : No!
[Then, she and Janice spin around in circles]
Janice Robinson : It's me, Sharon!
Evil Chameleon : No, it's me!
Janice Robinson : I'm your best friend!
Evil Chameleon : I'm the one who knows your parents, Bob and Carol.
Janice Robinson : That's right and they're in Hawaii.
Sharon : Janice, I don't know which one is you.
Janice Robinson : Don't spray me! I might turn back into the chameleon.
Evil Chameleon : [Pretending to be Janice Robinson] Wait! I can prove that I'm the real Janice.
[Grabs the box and runs to the well]
Evil Chameleon : Only the real Janice would do this.
[Dumps the chameleons into the well]
Janice Robinson : No, it's a trick!
Evil Chameleon : [Pretending to be Janice Robinson] It's really me, Sharon.
Sharon : A little water, pay the price.
[Mistakenly sprays the REAL Janice, who changes back to a chameleon]
Evil Chameleon : [In the guise of Janice Robinson, when Sharon sprays the wrong "chameleon"] Kill it!
Sharon : [after she throws the wrong chameleon down the well] It's really you, isn't it?
Evil Chameleon : [In the guise of Janice Robinson] Yes! And can you please get me out of this creepy dress?
Sharon : Welcome back, Jan!
[They hug and leave the well]
-
Janice Robinson : [to herself as she is about to brush her teeth] Don't be an idiot.
[then she notices the shower running]
Evil Chameleon : I think I'm going to enjoy your life! Oh, I think I'm learning very fast!
Janice Robinson : [as the Evil Chameleon pushes her into the shower which turns her into a chameleon and laughs maniacally] No!
-
Janice Robinson : I'm gonna take all of my savings and buy the dress myself.
Sharon : They're gonna be ticked.
Janice Robinson : They're not gonna know. I'll sneak out wearing something stupid they'll prove and then I'll change at school.
Sharon : Does it really work sneaking around like that?
Janice Robinson : You don't know what it's like. Parents can be all kinds of things.
Sharon : It's because my parents are never home. They're always working.
Janice Robinson : Well, at least they trust you. Mine still think I need a babysitter. Ow!
Sharon : What happened?
Janice Robinson : I'm sorry. It's my finger. It's probably because of that bite.
Sharon : That doesn't sound too good.
-
Sharon : Are you okay?
Janice Robinson : Yeah. What a strange kid.
Sharon : He knew he was gonna bite you. The little creep.
-
Evil Chameleon : [to Janice after biting her a second time] Well, it's almost over. But then again, it's really just beginning.
Janice Robinson : What?
-
Janice Robinson : [as she and Sharon are petting a bunny] Oh, I love coming here. They're so cute.
Sharon : It's sad though. I want to take one home. Let's get one.
Janice Robinson : No thanks, I'll stick with my fish.
-
Mrs. Robinson : Now, can we have a nice, quiet, problem-free weekend?
Janice Robinson : No, we can't! It's never gonna be problem-free until you let me grow up!
-
Janice Robinson : [to Red-Haired Boy] Hey! Don't bug the animals!
