Henry Rowland: Cliff Dodge

Quotes

  • Cliff Dodge : Like I told Steve here, what's an Indian doing with an Army branded horse and McClelland saddle? I hollered at him but he wouldn't stop. So we shot him. He's Hopi.

Steve : We do right, Sergeant?

Sergeant O'Hara : You did fine. I wish you'd been here an hour ago. Maybe he can tell us which Hopi brave led that raid.

Cliff Dodge : 'Fraid not, Sergeant. We shot him pretty dead.

Sergeant O'Hara : Nah, there's still a spark of life. Let's get him to a doctor.

  • Steve : That sounds like an Army bugle.

Cliff Dodge : And they're blowing 'charge.' Let's get out of here.

  • Annie Oakley : He says they gave the horses as a gift. From the white men to the Hopis. And as soon as he got on the horse, they shot him.

Cliff Dodge : No redskin's gonna make an accusation against me.

[He produces his gun which Annie shoots from his hand, and then lands another shot at the ceiling lamp, and the oil pours down on Steve's head and face]

  • Duke Marteen : Thought you were running a horse ranch for me.

Cliff Dodge : Not 24 hours a day.
