Following on from the conclusion of season four, Dylan has entered the Route of Ages and finds himself on the planet Seefra-1. He is met by a man called Flavin who welcomes him but it soon becomes clear the rest of the planet's inhabitants are wary of outsiders. Flavin tells him that Seefra-1 is one of nine identical planets and that occasionally new people arrive but leaving may be impossible... certainly nobody has left and come back. It later emerges that Dykan isn't the only member of Andromeda's crew on Seefra; Rhade is also there but he has been there much longer than Dylan... and over that time he has grown bitter.
Watching this almost immediately after the previous episode it is still a little confusing at the start... probably deliberately so. There is something intriguingly strange about Seefra; almost as if we are might be meant to think it is some sort of purgatory. We later learn more about Seefra which explains why Dylan finds it familiar; but strangely only raises more questions. It is equally intriguing when Rhade turns up and we learn he has been there a significant amount of time unlike Dylan's two days. There is no mention of other members of Andromeda's crew; it will be interesting to learn which of them will be returning later in the season. Overall an interesting start to a two part story as well as to the final season as a whole.
